After years in the making, Bushfire Flame Grill, opened in June 2008, offers a truly unique dining experience. From the outset this restaurant is different – it’s all atmosphere! Where the theatre of the kitchen is brought to your table and the chef’s culinary skills are in full view of the guests; flames flicker and dance capturing the dramatic look of an Australian bushfire and creating the “Thrill of the Grill”. It is both energetic and stylish.

Enhancing the bushfire theme is the unique cuisine created using a Brazilian-style barbecue – a churrasco grill – unlike anything seen in Cairns before. Guests will experience a dining style which originated in the 18th Century Rio Grande do Sul, Southern Brazil. Metre long skewers of succulent Australian beef, pork, lamb, ribs & chicken are seasoned, marinated, infused, basted & gently roasted on the churrasco grill. Waiters slice sizzling hot roasted meats from the skewers directly to your plate. This allows guests to experience a wide variety of offerings.

Whether it is a romantic evening for two or a group setting to kick start a memorable evening, Bushfire Flame Grill and Sugarcane Rhumbar will impress. Beautifully designed, the restaurant and bar has set a benchmark for dining experiences in Cairns. Bushfire opens for dinner from 5.30pm until late. Breakfast is available daily from 6am until 9.30am.
