The Hotel was originally owned by Panthers World of Entertainment and was called Panthers Resort; the general manager was Dan Chapel. It was then managed by Holiday Inn in the late 1990's by Marcus Tait and following him by Thomas Tait until it was sold in July 2006.

The Hotel was then bought by Lend lease in 2006 where it has been run by Constellation Hotels and became the Chifley Hotel we know today. The Original General manager was Ben Van Lierop and he is now replaced with our current general manager Hans Lepold.

The Chifley Hotel works with many local schools and sporting groups to help develop our standing within the community providing gift vouchers to raffle at events. We also do the following:

  • Chamber of Commerce –member of the Penrith Valley Special Visits Network – Participating Sydney Business Events Expo- Member of Sydney Business events organization
  • AAA Membership and National Accommodation Guide. Being a part of this guide allows us to show brand awareness and also be recognized as being a part of the tourism industry and supporting the industry
  • Hawkesbury Valley Guide Supporting the local tourism industry in a local guide
  • Involvement in Tourism NSW co-op marketing activities – We love Sydney campaign
  • T3 Events Gold Sponsorship and Transition Area Naming rights – $5k contribution
  • Sponsorship and Event marketing – $4k contribution to the community
  • Sporting Group/ Association Marketing partnerships – $2k contribution
  • Westside Performing Arts- Holy Spirit Primary Scholl-Royal NSW Canine Council Ltd
  • On the judging panel St Clair High school for their yearly Hospitality project
  • Tony Ferguson ( weight watchers) offering incentive to participants in weight loss programmes
  • MUSIC fans in Sydney\//s west have forced the hand of promoters, with a series of festivals planned for the area. The Defqon festival was first held in September 2009 and is planned to happen annually for the next 5 years
  • Among them are international organisers keen to cash in on the big crowds and large venues, with a major European dance festival choosing Penrith as the host of its first ever concert outside the Netherlands.

  • Motion sensors on lights in public bathrooms to save on energy consumption
  • Green Clean provided by housekeeping to lessen the impact on the environment. Room is dusted, bed is made and rubbish is removed, no chemicals used or power
  • Water saving shower heads in each room
  • Recycling as much as possible
